How does Killitch work?
Killitch is an effective anti-itching solution specifically designed to prevent itching in horses. It contains active ingredients that effectively soothe and relieve irritated skin, stop the itch-scratch cycle and prevent stinging insects from reaching the skin.
How often should Killitch be applied?
Killitch should be applied daily to the affected areas of your horse during the main fly season, usually from March to November when midges are at their most active. As a preventative measure, start applying Killitch in early spring before symptoms begin. Using gloves, apply the lotion to all affected areas by rubbing it in with your fingers or a soft cloth. The initial application of Killitch (75ml) should be twice a day, reducing to once a day and then 3-4 times a week as the irritation subsides. All affected areas should be kept clean by shampooing and rinsing thoroughly at least once a week. Reapply after shampooing or after heavy exercise to ensure adequate protection. For horses known to suffer from itching, it is recommended to apply Killitch in early spring before symptoms appear.
